This gorgeous Moses basket is handwoven by Ghanaian weavers and co-operatives in Bolgatanga and surrounding villages in the Upper East Region of Ghana, Africa.

Moses basket combo set has 2 options:

• Foam covered pad and 1 fitted sheet
• Organic cotton futon, 1 wool pad and 1 fitted sheet

Fitted sheet options are white or natural ivory organic cotton.

To produce these beautiful and practical baskets, the tradition of weaving is passed down from generation to generation in this community of weavers. Which makes these individually woven baskets strong, durable and flexible.

All baskets are imported from Africa and are made of all-natural stiff straw elephant grass. Elephant grass is a species of grass native to the tropical grasslands of Africa.

Another name for these Ghana Moses baskets is: "a Bilia basket" which means newborn in FraFra, one of the languages of the people in Ghana. There original design in this basket weaving style.

Moses Basket Usage Guidelines:

• Suggested maximum weight is approximately 17 pounds or until baby can sit up and/or roll over on their own.
• Never carry your baby in the Moses basket, even with handles. First move basket, then put the baby in the basket.
• Do not leave your baby unattended in Moses basket.
• Use Moses basket only on a firm, horizontal, level and dry surface.
• Normal, healthy infants should always sleep on their backs in the Moses basket.
• Baby coverings should reach only as far as baby’s chest and be tucked around the mattress.
• This is a product is all natural and may be affected by extremely dry or damp atmospheres, store away from direct heat or moisture when possible.
• It is recommended to use a new mattress or futon for every new baby.

Cleaning Moses basket:

Use sponge or cloth to wipe clean with warm soapy water if needed. Allow to dry thoroughly and naturally away from direct heat before using.

Re-Shape Moses basket:

Take all bedding out of basket. Spray with water and gently reshape with hands pushing basket in to shape intended. Allow basket to dry fully before putting bedding back in basket and using.
